Belated Happy Fathers Day!
Yes, I'm a day late. I did, however, spend Fathers Day with my Dad who we finally brought home from the hospital Saturday. He's battling pneumonia and recuperating at home -- while my Mom deals with Pink Eye in both eyes as well as bronchitis. So yesterday, I stopped at See's to claim my Dad's free 1-lb. of chocolate creams, bought their groceries, fixed some homemade chicken noodle soup, watched a bit of the U.S. Open, and then I headed for home to let them rest. Not a typical Fathers Day, but a good one.

You know, as I get older, I find myself having less "typical" days, holidays, etc. Things definitely change. Over time. I'm glad you enjoyed the day, no matter how it turned out.
any father's day with papa still here is a good one.
Speaking as a father, I would say that your visit coupled with the small kind and thoughtful deeds were much more valued by your father (and mother) than any lavish gift, dinner, or activity.
Glad to hear you were able to spend the day with both of them considering what they have both been through, health-wise. :-)
The best present you could have given your Dad was what you did. Be there, and make the day pleasant and easy. Your a great son. Clark
